Scott Henderson was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. He graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in Illustration and an appreciation for art history and southern food. After school he worked in design and video production for large corporations and in big city studios before going out on his own. He and his wife Evelyn have been running Henderson Creative for over 20 years.

Life events and pandemic down time gave Scott the urge to explore oil painting which he only dabbled in previously. Soon Scott was venturing out with his kit to paint his surroundings and the bug bit. Now he spends his free time planning painting adventures.

Scott loves to chase the light and shadows on old buildings, sleepy derelict houses and charming coastal scenes. Cool shadows and warm sunlight are his inspiration for most compositions. He looks for the viewer to find a story of their own in the painting. Scott is excited to find new places to paint, plein air competitions to enter and continually grow as an artist. Scott is a member of the Mid-Atlantic Plein Air Painters Association.
